About the Position

The Law Office of Kelley F. Whalen is seeking a skilled and experienced Attorney with a minimum of five (5) years of experience to join our established and growing firm. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in litigation, family law, and probate matters, including contested and uncontested  probate cases.

This is a full-time, position for an attorney capable of managing cases independently, providing high-quality legal representation, and maintaining excellent client relationships.

This is a position involving short -track  to equity  position

Responsibilities

  • Manage and handle cases from initial consultation through resolution in the areas of family law, probate, and litigation.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents.
  • Conduct hearings, mediations, and court appearances.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
  • Provide practical, results-oriented legal advice and representation.
  • Contribute to client development and firm growth initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas.
  • 5+ years of experience practicing in litigation, preferably  probate but will consider litigation experience in other practice areas
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and courtroom communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage a varied caseload efficiently with minimal supervision.
  • Professional, ethical, and client-focused demeanor.
